Join us for this presentation by Mary Darling of Darling Geomatics who will talk about how drones are used to inspect rooftops after storm damage, assist search and rescue missions, provide forensic data, topographic data, and more.  She will also talk about recent drone innovations for use in underground tunnels, below the ocean and on Mars and new technological advances including swarm and grasshopper drones that are coming soon.

Mary Darling cofounded Darling Geomatics and with her team, she has grown the company into an award winning, global high-tech 3D surveying company headquartered in Arizona.  Darling Geomatics has been enormously successful and has grown into a multimillion-dollar technology company with projects in six foreign countries on 3 continents as well as virtually all fifty states here in the USA.  Mary is an FAA licensed commercial drone pilot and she travels across the country and internationally to help implement a wide variety of high-tech projects.  Mary is actively involved in workforce development including membership in Pima County’s Workforce Investment Board, membership on the Pima JTED Business Council and an annual workshop presenter at SheTech, a high school program to encourage careers in STEM.
