BILD offers different events to keep our members in touch with each other and the community and to provide opportunities for learning and career building.

Monthly Lunches

We gather on the third Tuesday of most months for a lunch meeting featuring speakers of note from the region. Past guests have included city and county officials from Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Sahuarita and others; leaders from the University of Arizona, Rio Nuevo and Sun Corridor; and representatives of the private sector, including home builders and developers.

Project Tours

In February and October, we invite our members and guests to tour our members’ projects. We’ve recently visited the new Caterpillar facility, ENR2 at the University, the AC Hotel by Marriott, and an archaeological dig site.


Periodically, we invite our members to brown bag workshops for learning in a small-group environment. The gatherings provide an opportunity to improve skills in areas like writing, proposal design, business development, and networking.

Relaxation Day

We gather in August to network and celebrate the end of the summer with a free happy hour. It’s an opportunity to meet new people and reconnect with industry colleagues and friends in a laid back and congenial atmosphere.

Leadership Summit

Once a year, usually in September, we bring together a group of speakers and panelists for a half-day retreat focused on building leadership skills for experienced, mid-career, and new staffers in the A/E/C industry. We follow up the learning with a networking happy hour.

Holiday Lunch

Our December lunch is always the most fun and is free for members. We have lots of give-aways, a raffle to raise money for our local charity, and fun surprises. It’s our way to say thanks to our members and celebrate another successful year.
