ABOUT US
Since our founding in 1995 as the Southern Arizona Architects and Engineers Marketing Association (SAAEMA), we’ve provided opportunities for our members to learn, grow, and become leaders in our community. In 2018, in response to the changing landscape in the industry, we became BILD: Building Insight, Leadership, and Development. BILD members take advantage of networking opportunities at our mixers, learning at our monthly lunches and workshops, and skill development at our annual Leadership Summit. In addition, we partner with local non-profits for community service and provide a showcase for our member firms’ projects with our twice-yearly project tours. Members can also take advantage of the scholarship program to advance their career education, along with our InDesign and other user groups. The Planning Center
Lexy is a certified planner and policy analyst with The Planning Center, who specializes in the intersection of land planning, public policy, and site design to shape communities that are both functional and forward-looking. With over seven years of experience, Lexy has built a reputation for her analytical approach to complex planning challenges and her ability to craft policies, development standards, and design guidelines that align with community goals and regulatory frameworks. Lexy is originally from Corona, California and holds degrees from the University of Oregon and the University of Arizona. She also serves as a Commissioner on the City of Tucson Planning Commission.

Zona Technical Engineering
Jen is the Office Specialist at Zona Technical Engineering, a local MEP Design firm. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and 25 years of experience in marketing and administration duties. She helps the Zona design team keep projects and proposals running smoothly, works on marketing efforts, and assists with clients as needed. Her experience in marketing, client relations, and project management enables her to attain goals from developing initial plans to timely delivery of the final project. She is a proud native Tucsonan and enjoys photography and crafting as a hobby.

Amanda is a lifelong Tucsonan and a graduate of the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management. At GLHN, she applies her background in digital marketing, storytelling, and graphic design to support proposal strategy and communications, where she has developed an understanding of the A/E/C landscape since joining the firm in 2023.
Her creative skill set supports technical teams through clear messaging, strategic visuals, and client-focused narratives. Amanda is actively engaged in the local A/E/C community, focused on building connections, supporting young professional development, and contributing to the industry’s continued success in Southern Arizona.

Lloyd Constrution
Brisa Boyd is a Tucson, AZ native with over seventeen years’ experience in Marketing, Communications, Business Development, and Community Relations. She is currently the Marketing Director for Lloyd Construction Company, Inc. Founded in 1969, Lloyd Construction is one of the largest family-owned General Contractors in Southern Arizona. She is a Tucson Native and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, son, and two dogs.

Psomas
Michelle Wood is a Marketing Coordinator at Psomas, with twenty years of project management and marketing experience. She was born and raised on the East Coast and has been a proud Tucsonan since 2014. Though admits she doesn’t own a pair of cowboy boots (yet). She has a strong passion for visual design and creating engaging marketing and branding materials. She studied interior architecture at UCLA and previously served on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Arizona South Chapter. In her role as Marketing Coordinator, she supports the proposal process for Psomas’ Tucson, California, and Pacific Northwest locations. She loves the collaboration, learning, and community feel that takes place at A/E/C industry events. When she’s not designing proposals, she enjoys spending time with her two boys and hiking in Sabino Canyon.

Melack Albargash is a 2024 graduate of the University of Arizona’s “College of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture”, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. Following her passion for design, she began her career at Breckenridge Group Architects and Planners as an Architectural Designer, where she continues to grow toward a role in project management as well. She aspires to one day establish her own firm, shaping the built environment and creating meaningful, community-focused spaces through her own design endeavors. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys reading, drawing, cooking, spending time with friends/family, and staying active.

Lupita Vazquez is a Tucson native and has more than 8 years of experience in Admin and Finance. She started her career in the non-profit sector. In May of 2025, she transitioned into the A/E/C field, doing the same kind of work. After 9 months with the company, she was promoted from Project Accountant to Tucson Business Manager.

Sedona Scheopner is a senior marketing coordinator at GLHN Architects & Engineers, Inc. with seven years of experience supporting proposals, pursuits, and strategic storytelling. She enjoys collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and leadership to turn complex technical information into clear, engaging narratives that resonate with clients. A native Tucsonan, Sedona brings a practical, down-to-earth perspective to her work and values strong relationships built on trust and teamwork. Outside of the office, she’s a mom to two toddler boys, a role that keeps her organized, adaptable, and always ready for whatever the day brings.

GARRETT ALDRETE

The Planning Center
Garrett is a planner with The Planning Center, specializing in geospatial analysis and graphic data representation using software like ArcGIS and Adobe Creative Cloud. He assists with land development proposals across Southern Arizona, ensuring conformance with local, state, and/or federal codes and regulations. He has a keen interest in community development planning and has assisted with several public projects throughout the region. Garrett is from Casa Grande, Arizona, and remains a resident of the city. He serves on the City of Casa Grande’s Planning and Zoning Commission and Historic Preservation Commission. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Arizona State University and a Master of Science in Urban Planning from the University of Arizona.

Terracon
Michelle Carney is a Marketing Specialist for Terracon Consultants Inc.’s Desert Southwest Region. She lives in Southern California with a degree in computer arts from the Academy of Art University and has a passion for broadening her learning new ways of doing things.
