Since its beginnings in 1995, Southern Arizona Architects and Engineers Marketing Association has been a resource for marketers, business developers, and others in the A/E/C industry.

When we started, the Internet was in its infancy, cell phones made phone calls only, and to get online, you had to listen to several seconds of those dial-up buzzes before you got connected. There was no YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook, and Google wasn’t even yet an idea in the heads of a couple of Stanford students.

As technology has changed, so has our industry, and so has our organization. For the past few years, we’ve seen more principals, project managers, architects, and engineers join SAAEMA’s ranks to learn and network with their peers. We survived the lean times of the Great Recession; we’ve seen agencies transition to electronic proposal submittals, and companies consolidate and merge. Through it all SAAEMA has been here, offering opportunities to share ideas, meet new friends and colleagues, and learn new skills.

Earlier this year, the board took on a project to create a new brand that better reflects our evolving membership and their goals. With the help and guidance of the Gordley Group, we have become BILD.

With BILD, you’ll find the same informative lunches, project tours, skill-building workshops, and networking opportunities. But you’ll also see a renewed focus on leadership and community involvement. We’re still the place for marketing and business development, but now we’re even more. (And, the name is easier to say!)

We hope you’ll join us for this exciting new chapter and attend one of our monthly lunches, our Leadership Summit, or one of our networking events. We’re looking forward to seeing you soon! And as always, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions, comments, or concerns.
